Community Health Charities

A New Health Benefit for Employees and Students

Introducing New Programs for Charitable Giving, Wellness and Community Involvement

We are pleased to introduce Community Health Charities as a new partner to the community involvement, charitable giving and wellness activities offered by Nunez Community College.

Community Health Charities unites caring donors in the workplace with the credible health information, volunteer opportunities and giving choices offered by the most trusted health charities in America. They provide a direct link for Nunez Community College and our associates to 45 member charities that directly serve Louisiana and Mississippi, as well as more than 60 national charities that provide vital research and services across the United States.

Throughout the year, Nunez employees and students will be introduced to programs that make it easy to form powerful connections with the best health charities right here in St. Bernard Parish, the Greater New Orleans area, across the Southeast and throughout the country.

We are pleased to provide a brief description of Community Health Charities programs.

Giving Matters 365®– Beginning August 11, 2014, our associates and students may designate a charitable gift to their favorite health charity. This opportunity is simply a voluntary way for each of us to be able to give back to our favorite health charities.

Through an easy, secure online portal, you may make a one-time or recurring donation deducted from a credit/debit card or eCheck. The online link is:http://ittybitty.bz/nunez

To participate, please go to the link, select Donate Now, register, go to Companies and select Nunez Community College. You will be taken to a drop-down list of local southern region and national member charities. Choose the charities that are most important to you and then determine your donation amount, frequency and method of payment. Every designation to a charity will be honored and all gifts will be acknowledged.

Health Matters at Work®The program on the right side of the link offers all of our constituents and their families free, 24/7 access to credible health information and support from the nation’s most trusted health charities. This includes webinars, video podcasts, online/mobile apps to determine your risk for various diseases, disease management, diet and exercise tips, and a directory of local health charities and support groups.

In addition to supporting the efforts of our staff and students to lead healthier lives, our relationship with Community Health Charities will make it easier for all of us to contribute to improving the overall health of our own families and the Greater New Orleans community.
