Database access off-campus
All of the databases are available on campus by simply clicking on the appropriate icon or text link.
They are accessible while off-campus via a proxy server, which verifies that you are an authorized user.
Authorized users are those who have a Nunez ID that has been updated in the library.
To access the databases while off campus, you must go to them using the links on this page. You will be prompted
to enter three pieces of information.
1. Your user ID number is the same number as your campus wide student ID number and your Nunez ID card (older IDs have the 9 numbers printed on the back, but newer IDs do not).
This number contains nine (9) digits. Enter only numerals; no letters, punctuation marks, or spaces.
2. Your PIN is whatever you have selected to use on the
"My Account"/ "User PIN Change" page of the catalog (LOUIS icon on library homepage). If you
have not changed your PIN, it is "CHANGEME" (note: all caps).
3. Finally, select "Nunez Community College" from the dropdown menu.
When you click on "authenticate" you should go directly into the chosen database.
If you are using a card with less digits, or are having any problems
accessing the databases remotely, contact the
library (504-278-6230) for assistance.
