GNOFCU Offers Seminar Focused on Credit for Entrepreneurs at Nunez - Wednesday, May 07, 2014

Cindi Russo, business development expert from Greater New Orleans Federal Credit Union (GNOFCU), will facilitate an entrepreneurial seminar at Nunez Community College on Thursday, May 15, 2014, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

GNOFCU's "Understanding Credit" seminar will provide students and attendees with the basics of building and/or rebuilding credit. Topics will include how credit management affects credit scores, how to interpret credit reports, tips on improving and managing credit, and how to select the right credit card or loan product for personal or entrepreneurial needs.

GNOFCU is providing free refreshments at the workshop, which starts at 6 p.m. in the Entrepreneurship Center and is free to students and the public through grant funding from the U.S. Department of Laborís Trade Adjustment Assistance for Community Colleges and Career Training (TAACCCT) initiative. Those interested in attending may R.S.V.P. with Entrepreneurship Center at 504-278-6295.

The new Entrepreneurship Center is a resource for Nunezís students and community members interested in establishing businesses. Available services include access to conference and meeting facilities, personal and group workspaces available at affordable hourly or daily rates, computer and IT services in the new iMac computer lab, Internet, administrative and IT support, and monthly workshops and networking opportunities with successful entrepreneurs.
