Industrial Maintenance and PTEC (470303, 150612)
Industrial Maintenance technicians design, install, operate, maintain, and repair complex industrial machinery. They diagnose and solve equipment problems using a wide array of skills, including: tool expertise, error analysis, machinery upkeep, small-scale fabrication , and electrical work. These technicians are educated in safety procedures in order to endure the success of production in industries.
The PTEC program prepares students to become process technicians and operators who control and monitor systems that keep plants running efficiently and safely. The PTEC Technical Competency Area (TCA) gives students who complete the program an OSHA 30 Safety Credential and the skills to secure entry-level positions with a Plant Maintenance Contractor.
