But first the group will make an appearance on the Nunez campus as part of a special edition of Nunez’s History Lecture Series.

Wednesday’s History Lecture Series will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Nunez Auditorium Lobby with a free cheese, wine and sangria reception to allow guests to mingle prior to the program. At 7 p.m. we’ll move into the Auditorium for an introductory lecture from St. Bernard Parish Historian William de Marigny Hyland, followed by a performance from San Borondon.

The program is free and open to the public.

“We’re thrilled to bring this wonderful cultural and artistic experience to our college and the entire community. We’re thankful to the Los Isleños Society and Mr. Bill Hyland for extending this wonderful opportunity for our campus” said Katherine Lemoine, Nunez Associate Vice Chancellor of Institutional Advancement. “This experience also dovetails beautifully with what we’re trying to achieve with the Isleños Museum and Archive that will open soon in the Nunez Library.”
