Nunez Foundation Board Chairman Cliff Englande said Nunez is excited to showcase its newest building for Gala.

“This new facility symbolizes Nunez’s dedication to providing the best possible education and opportunities for the students here,” said Englande. “The support generated from this event will directly impact their futures.”

The Gala will include a tasting from area restaurants as well as dishes prepared by Nunez’s Culinary Arts students, music, beer, wine, and a special Pelican Punch. There will also be raffles, a silent auction, and a bevy of “Pearl-itzer Prizes” as part of this festive fundraiser.

Tickets are $55 each and attire for the event is business or cocktail attire.

Nunez Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement Katherine Lemoine added that the venue, which wrapped up construction just a few weeks ago, encapsulates the college's commitment to education and innovation, bringing together community leaders, donors, faculty, students, and supporters for an unforgettable evening.

"The Pelicans and Pearls Gala is a festive night to celebrate the community college. Nunez is a gem in St. Bernard, and we want to celebrate it as a pearl of our parish,” she said.
