Nunez instructor Don Mieger demonstrates safety techniques for students in the Wind Energy Technology program. Nunez will offer several Global Wind Organisation workforce safety certification trainings in September and October.
Nunez Community College in Chalmette will offer several workforce safety certification trainings sanctioned by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) this September and October.
GWO certifications are the worldwide industry standard in wind energy production. Nunez instructors certified by the GWO to train workers will lead four training courses:
- GWO Enhanced First Aid Training, Sept. 8-Sept. 10, $640
- GWO Advanced Rescue Training, Sept. 15-Sept. 17, $655
- GWO Basic Safety Training, Sept. 29-Oct. 3, $853
- GWO Advanced Rescue Training, Oct. 6-Oct. 8, $655
