The 2025-2026 Winter Intersession term runs Dec. 18 to Jan. 15 and features all online courses. Those courses include Intro to Anatomy and Physiology, Animal Behavior, Principles of Biology I, Nutrition and Diet Therapy, Intro to Business, Survey of Mathematical Concepts and College Algebra.
Spring 2026 begins Jan. 20 and features 230 online and on-campus courses.
Ten scholarships are available for students entering Nunez's new Cybersecurity program, which launched in the fall. The scholarships, funded through the Louisiana Board of Regents Talent Initiative, provide $1,000 per semester for four semesters. Recipients must enroll in a minimum of 12 hours per semester and maintain a 2.0 GPA.
Students entering our Process Technology (PTEC) program will soon benefit from the arrival of a $1 million liquefied natural gas (LNG) hands-on training module that will prepare them to operate equipment at the new billion-dollar LNG facilities in Plaquemines Parish and beyond.
The spring semester also features the return of non-credit courses, including Watercolors and Intro to Ceramics. Students interested in taking non-credit courses are encouraged to email STEAM Director Dr. Julie Rexford at [email protected].
Students requiring assistance applying for admission or registering for all other classes are encouraged to visit the Student Success Center in the AST Building to meet with a Student Success Coach. Walk-ins have priority, but students can also set up a meeting by visiting Nunez.edu/Advising or emailing [email protected].
