Earn ServSafe Certification May 4 at Nunez

Culinary students work in the Nunez kitchen.

Nunez Culinary and the Workforce Division present ServSafe 1-Day Manager Training on May 4.

Nunez’s Culinary program and Workforce division are teaming up to offer ServSafe 1-Day Manager Training May 4.

Chef Ruth Varisco, Coordinator of the Culinary Arts and Entrepreneurship program, will lead the all-day course in the Culinary Café in the Kane Building on the Nunez campus. Students will receive instruction from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and the online certification exam will be administered 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

Students can begin the registration process by submitting a Career Training Interest Form at Nunez.edu/Workforce, and may pick up their book as soon as they register. Cost is $180, with discounts available to the college’s restaurant partners.

The course is ideal for kitchen workers to add ServSafe certification to their resumes, and for restaurants to ensure their employees’ certifications are up-to-date. It’s also a good investment for students entering Nunez’s Culinary program this fall.

Registration questions can be emailed to [email protected]. Culinary questions can be emailed to Chef Ruth at [email protected].
