Place Your Bets for a Better Future: Nunez Hosts Lucky Pelican Casino Night Fundraiser Sponsored by Venture Global

Join the Nunez Community College Foundation for an unforgettable evening of entertainment, excitement, and philanthropy on September 18 at the Lucky Pelican Casino Night sponsored by Venture Global.

From 6 p.m.-9 p.m. in the Physical Activity Center on the Nunez campus, this premier fundraising event will bring together community leaders, business partners, alumni, and friends for a night of gaming, great food, and giving back—all in support of Nunez students and the future workforce of southeast Louisiana.

Tickets are available now for $60. Each ticket includes gaming chips, local bites, an open bar service, and opportunities to win in the silent auction and raffles. Sponsorships starting at $250 are available for individuals or companies looking to make an impact while increasing their visibility.

Venture Global, the presenting sponsor for Lucky Pelican Casino Night, is a generous partner of Nunez Community College and creator of the Will to Skill program, a free workforce training initiative designed to equip local residents with trade skills and certifications for high-demand jobs, with instruction provided by Nunez faculty. The recent graduation of the program’s twentieth cohort is a testament to Venture Global’s investment not only in the students and programs of Nunez, but in the communities it serves.

Collaboration between Venture Global and Nunez is expected to expand as Nunez adds a $1 million liquefied natural gas trainer to its PTEC (Process Technology) curriculum in the fall semester. "Venture Global has been an extraordinary partner to Nunez Community College, helping us expand workforce training opportunities and prepare students for successful careers in high-demand industries,” said Dr. Tina Tinney, Chancellor of Nunez Community College. “We are excited to launch our first-ever Lucky Pelican Casino Night with Venture Global as our presenting sponsor and look forward to bringing together supporters from across the region to invest in student success."

At this inaugural Lucky Pelican Casino Night, patrons can try their luck at a variety of casino-style table games, including blackjack, poker, roulette, craps, and more. Seasoned players and first-time gamblers alike will enjoy the thrill of the casino floor in a fun a friendly atmosphere.
