Heavy Equipment
This program teaches students how to safely use large machines on construction sites. Students learn safety rules, how equipment works, and how to operate different types of machines.
Training follows safety standards from NCCER and OSHA. Students also earn First Aid, CPR, and AED certification through the American Heart Association.
Students get hands-on practice with equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, aerial manlifts, skid steers, bulldozers, excavators, and front-end loaders. Training includes classroom lessons, equipment simulators, and real practice on the machines. Students also learn how to inspect equipment and work safely with others on a job site.
