GWO Enhanced First Aid

The GWO Enhanced First Aid training will enable participants to support and care for others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge, skills, and ability of enhanced first aid. Upon completion of the GWO EFA training, participants will be able to administer safe, effective, and immediate lifesaving and enhanced first aid measures to save lives and give assistance in remote areas using advanced emergency equipment and medical teleconsultation.Students will learn how to keep an injured person stable until emergency medical professionals can arrive.

Upon completion, students will earn the GWO EFA certification, which is valid for two years, as well as the American Heart Association CPR and First Aid card, also valid for two years.

Age Requirements:

Participants must be a minimum of 18 years of age before the first day of class for full participation and certification.

Other Requirements:

  • Participants should be in a good state of health, and physically capable of fully taking part in all course exercises.
  • Participants must provide their own closed toed work shoes and appropriate work clothing.
