Spring classes are right around the corner at Nunez Community College, and two exciting programs are offering significant scholarships for the Spring 2026 semester and beyond.
Registration is open now ahead of the first day of classes on Jan. 20. Apply and register today at Nunez.edu. The Student Success Team is ready to assist you at Nunez.edu/Advising. Substantial scholarships are available for Nunez’s Computer Science program and Wind Energy Technology program. Computer Science, which encompasses cybersecurity, is offering $4,000 scholarships ($1,000-per-semester) to 10 students. The Wind Energy Technology program, part of Nunez’s Sustainable Energy Career Academy, has five full-tuition scholarships available to students joining the program for the spring semester.
The Aerospace Manufacturing Technology program has 12 $750 scholarships available through the Delta Workforce Grant Program-GNO RAAMP Scholarship.

Many scholarships are program-specific, including scholarships for Nunez’s Fiber Optics certification program, the Process Technology program, the Machinist certification program, the Culinary Arts and Entrepreneurship program and the Coastal Studies and GIS Technology program.
Students in the Computer Science program will learn to repel online threats with hands-on training in network security, ethical hacking, cryptography and more. Completers will be equipped for employment protecting sensitive data across multiple industries, like finance, healthcare, government and technology.
Nunez’s Wind Energy Technology program is the first of its kind in Louisiana and trains students to work on wind turbines through a curriculum approved by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO). Students who earn their associate degree and related certificates from Nunez will be qualified to enter the wind energy workforce anywhere in the world.

Students working on a condensed schedule also have the option to enroll in Mini-Session A starting Jan. 20. This eight-week term awards full, transferable college credits. Another eight-week term, Mini-Session B, will begin March 18.
