Voyage Mark II at Nunez Community College
The Voyage Mark II exhibition is Nunez Community College’s immersive, campus-wide exploration exhibit that allows visitors to quite literally walk the solar system. Designed as a scaled model of our planetary system, which is 10 billion times larger than Voyage Mark II, the exhibition features a series of stanchions—each dedicated to a planet—strategically placed across the Nunez campus to reflect the relative distances between planets. As visitors move from one station to the next, they experience the vast scale of space in a way that is both educational and unforgettable.
Each planetary stanchion serves as a discovery point, combining engaging visuals, accessible scientific facts, and real-world connections to aerospace, engineering, advanced manufacturing, energy, and other STEM-related career pathways. The exhibit transforms the campus into an interactive learning environment, encouraging curiosity, movement, and exploration for K–12 students, families, educators, and community members of all ages.
Voyage Mark II builds on Nunez’s commitment to hands-on learning and workforce awareness by linking the wonder of space exploration to the skills, technologies, and careers that power Louisiana’s future. From precision manufacturing and instrumentation to maritime operations and aerospace systems, the exhibit reinforces how classroom learning translates into high-demand, high-impact professions.
Sponsorship Visibility & Impact
Stanchion sponsorships place your organization’s name and logo permanently on a planetary display within the scale solar system, integrating your brand into a unique, highly visible educational experience. Sponsors are recognized as champions of exploration, innovation, and workforce development.
By sponsoring a stanchion, organizations align themselves with discovery, education, and the inspiration of future generations, leaving a lasting impression across a campus installation that will engage visitors year-round.
For more information on sponsorship, contact Reggie J. Poché, Interim Vice Chancellor for Strategic Partnerships and Engagement at [email protected].
