Nunez Culinary and Workforce Offer ServSafe One-Day Manager Certification and Renewal Oct. 6

Students in the Nunez Culinary program prep food.

Nunez Culinary will offer a ServSafe Certification course Oct. 6 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on the Nunez campus. Registration is open at Nunez.edu.

Nunez’s Culinary program and Workforce division are teaming up to offer ServSafe One-Day Manager Certification and Renewal Training Oct. 6.

Chef Ruth Varisco, Coordinator of the Culinary Arts and Entrepreneurship program, will lead the all-day course in the Culinary Café in the Kane Building on the Nunez campus. Students will receive instruction from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and the online certification exam will be administered 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

Students can begin the registration process by submitting a Course Inquiry Form at Nunez.edu/Workforce, and may pick up their book as soon as they register. Cost is $180, with discounts available to the college’s restaurant partners.

The course is ideal for kitchen workers to add ServSafe certification to their resumes, and for restaurants to ensure their employees’ certifications are up to date. It’s also a good investment for students entering Nunez’s Culinary program when spring classes begin Jan. 20.
