Position Summary
Nunez Community College is seeking a dynamic and skilled Assistant Director of Emerging Technology and Engagement who provides essential support in the development and implementation of innovative programs that improve retention, academic success, and securing external grant funding. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely data is used to evaluate student success outcomes, support decision-making, and meet internal and external reporting requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with deans/program chairs in the curriculum development, implementation, programmatic accreditation compliance and continuous improvement of innovative programs and initiatives designed to enhance student success.
  • Assists the QEP Director and Grants Coordinator with data collection as specified in the Perkins Grant.
  • Assist in the preparation of data narratives, dashboards, and visualizations for internal and external requests. Provide data support for industry advisory and general committee meetings.
  • Support grant application processes by providing historical data, institutional statistics, and success metrics.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures related to the department, and train faculty/staff in professional development workshops.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Institutional Research office and Strategic Partnerships staff to ensure alignment and data needs are met. Collaborate with grant coordinators and student success staff to design and implement data tracking systems.
  • Assists the Director of IR/IE in managing curriculum substantive changes.
  • Assist the Student Success team with post-graduation placement data.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of IR/IE, Provost or Chancellor.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Information Sciences or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • Five (5) years of related work involving higher education.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of curriculum design, implementation, and continuous improvement processes in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of programmatic and institutional accreditation compliance (e.g., SACSCOC standards).
  • Familiarity with grant requirements and reporting, particularly the Perkins Grant.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including deans, grant coordinators, and student success staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to serve as a liaison between departments and to present complex data to diverse groups, including deans, faculty, and committees.
  • Proficiency in collecting, organizing, and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data. This includes the ability to create clear data narratives, dashboards, and visualizations for various audiences.

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Information Sciences or a related field.

Preferred Experience:

  • Five (5) years of related work involving higher education with supervisory experience.
  • Experience supporting federally funded or state grant programs.
  • Experience with student information systems reporting software.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced skills in statistical analysis beyond basic reporting.
