Position: Student Success Coach
Division: Education, Training and Student Success
Reports To: Student Success Coordinator

Position Summary
The Student Success Coach manages a caseload of students by providing academic coaching and advisement. Supports student success at the college by advising students, delivering student success workshops, and providing case management for a subset of the student population. The primary responsibility for this position will be to oversee testing services.
Responsibilities include administering tests, proctoring tests, scheduling, and advertising all tests offered by the Nunez Testing Center.  The coach will also be responsible for inputting test scores into Banner, managing RegisterBlast, and managing invoices.

Education

Required

  • Earned Associate’s Degree is required.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in testing services or higher education experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports and case manages students from initial on boarding to completion through advisement and academic support. This includes assisting students in development of educational plan and/or clarifying educational goals.
  • Directly provides support for referrals related to academic success topics such as time management, study skills, etc.
  • Administers and proctors' tests that included but are not limited to Accuplacer, Ability to Benefit, LSLBC, Hiset, and student accommodation testing.
  • Manages registration and sending invoices to all third-party vendors for all testing services.
  • Input test scores into Banner, maintains appropriate certifications for testing, coordinates the testing calendar for the school and maintains testing page on website.
  • Assist with campus-wide events related enrollment, testing, advising, and orientation.
  • Manages and delivers student success workshops both within and outside the classroom on topics related to study skills, time management, testing preparation, testing anxiety, and any topics relevant to testing.
  • Assists with the planning and implementation of New Student Orientation.
  • Attends off-campus recruiting events and conducts campus tours for visitors, schools, and community.
  • Success Coaches will take a lead on one of the following areas but will also be crossed trained to assist each other in Student Activities, SGA, Veteran Affairs, Testing Services and Recruiting.
  • Assume special responsibilities on assignment from the Dean of Strategic Enrollment and Student Success, Vice Chancellor for Education, Training and Student Success, or Chancellor.
