Honor Someone Special with a Tribute Gift

A gift to the Nunez Community College Foundation made in memory of, in honor of, or in celebration of a special occasion—such as a birthday, anniversary, or graduation—is a meaningful way to pay tribute to someone important in your life. Your generosity not only honors their legacy but also supports Nunez students and programs that make a lasting impact in our community.

When you make a tribute gift, the honoree or their family will receive a personalized notification letting them know a gift has been made in their name. (Gift amounts are kept confidential.)

To make a tribute or memorial gift, please include the following information with your donation:

• Name of the individual being honored or remembered
• Reason for the tribute (e.g., birthday, memorial, anniversary)
• Name and full mailing address of the person(s) who should be notified

Leave a Lasting Legacy Through Planned Giving

Planned gifts are a meaningful way to support the Nunez Community College Foundation while maximizing the impact of your generosity. To ensure your wishes are carried out in accordance with the Foundation’s Gift Acceptance Policy, we encourage donors to notify the Nunez Community College Foundation of their plans. Donors are also encouraged to consult with a qualified charitable gift planner, attorney, or financial advisor to determine the best giving strategy to meet both personal and philanthropic goals.

The Nunez Community College Foundation offers a variety of naming opportunities for individuals, families, businesses, and corporations who wish to leave a lasting legacy on our campus. Donors may choose to name a building, laboratory, classroom, study area, or other designated space—creating a visible and enduring symbol of their commitment to education and community growth.

Your investment supports critical needs such as program equipment and furnishings, technology upgrades, building maintenance, endowed scholarships, and institutional capacity building.

Naming gifts may be made as an outright contribution or as a pledge payable over three years, allowing flexibility in giving while ensuring your impact is recognized for years to come.

Support Academic and Workforce Excellence

Nunez Community College delivers a hands-on, career-focused education that combines classroom instruction, applied training, and real-world experience—preparing students to excel in today’s high-demand industries. Meeting these needs requires continual investment in advanced technology, specialized equipment, instructional resources, and program supplies.

The Nunez Community College Foundation works closely with each donor to identify the programs or areas where their generosity can have the greatest impact—ensuring every contribution directly enhances teaching, learning, and workforce readiness across the College.

Annual Scholarships

Donors may choose to create and name an Annual Scholarship with a minimum contribution of $500. Once the scholarship funds are awarded to the selected student(s), the fund is depleted. Donors may renew their contribution each year to continue supporting students through their named scholarship.

The Nunez Community College Foundation will collaborate with each donor to determine the scholarship’s awarding criteria.

Endowed Scholarships

Donors seeking to make a lasting impact may establish an Endowed Scholarship with a one-time or pledged contribution (payable over up to five years) of $10,000 or more. Once the endowment reaches the minimum level, the funds are invested for one year; thereafter, the interest earned each year is awarded to students while the principal remains intact in perpetuity. Additional contributions may be added to the endowed fund at any time.

The Foundation works closely with donors to develop meaningful award criteria that reflect their values and interests. For example, a donor may create an endowed scholarship in Cybersecurity for students maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher throughout their program. Donors may also choose to allow the Foundation to determine award criteria based on the greatest student need.

Special Giving Initiatives

Throughout the year, the Nunez Community College Foundation launches targeted fundraising campaigns to address specific needs and opportunities that directly benefit our students, faculty, and community. These initiatives may support scholarships, new equipment, facility improvements, or special projects that advance Nunez’s mission of providing high-quality education and workforce training.
