Financial Support
Explain what Nunez offers and how we offer it.
Adult Education at Nunez Community College serves as a workforce training funding pathway and a career pathway bridge. It connects skill-building to short-term, flexible, and affordable hands-on workforce training, so participants can move toward long-term career growth.
Through state and federally supported programs, eligible participants may access free or low-cost workforce training while strengthening the foundational skills needed to succeed.
Our program follows an integrated education and training model. Students do not learn math and English in isolation. Reading, writing, and math are taught through career-focused lessons that connect directly to training programs and workplace expectations.
Classes are flexible. We offer daytime, evening, and online options, so adults can continue working and supporting their families while building new skills.
Participants gain skills they can apply right away, so they are better prepared for the next step in their career pathway.
For Students
Adult Education is designed for adults who are ready to move forward.
You may qualify if you:
- Want to earn a high school equivalency
- Already have a diploma but want to strengthen reading or math
- Want to improve English language skills
- Need to prepare for workforce training
No matter where you begin, this program helps you build a strong foundation for career success.
In class, you learn through real-world, career-focused lessons. Math, reading, and writing are taught in ways that support job readiness and future training, so what you learn connects directly to your next step.
Flexible scheduling makes it easier to move forward. Daytime, evening, and online classes allow you to balance school, work, and family responsibilities.
As you build your skills, new opportunities open. By enrolling and actively participating in Adult Education, you may qualify for funded workforce training opportunities, so the cost of career training may be reduced or removed.
Adult Education helps you:
- Strengthen basic skills
- Build confidence
- Prepare for industry credentials
- Enter a clear career pathway
- Increase your earning potential
For Employers
A strong workforce begins with strong, applied skills.
Nunez Adult Education prepares participants through an integrated education and training approach. Foundational skills are taught alongside career pathway content, so learners are better prepared for workforce training and employment.
Flexible class options allow working adults to improve skills without leaving the workforce, so employers can retain talent while employees continue building skills.
This model supports:
- A stronger talent pipeline
- Better job readiness
- Employee upskilling
- Improved retention
- Long-term workforce development goals
Adult Education expands access to training, supports economic mobility, and strengthens the regional workforce.
