Adjunct Faculty in Electrical Studies

Position Location: Workforce Development

Nunez is recruiting for NCCER Electrical Adjunct Instructor

Minimum Qualifications:
4 years’ experience in industry, At least 2 years at Journeymen Level Experience.

Extensive industry experience (3 years) Master Electrician, or completion of recognized apprenticeship program with required experience can substitute for associate degree. Exceptions subject to approval of the department chair and CTE Dean.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Curriculum Planning & Program Development and Management.
  • Effective pedagogy for adult learners and technical learning, Adult Education;
  • Effective classroom management including maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Leadership.
  • Mentoring.
  • Records Management.
  • Extensive knowledge of the content area.
  • Ability to effectively handle conflict productively in a professional situation.
  • Knowledge and commitment to institutional mission and values and the ability to work with stakeholders across the college to achieve and uphold those.

Pursuant to LCTCS Policy, the individuals selected for these positions will be subject to a criminal background investigation.

Physical Demands:
When Applicable

  • Ability to view a computer screen for long periods of time.
  • Ability to function in a high-pressure, stressful environment and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to carry <25 lbs., stand, sit, reach, bend, and climb
