Position: Facilities Coordinator
Department: Facilities Management
Reports To: Director of Facilities Management

Position Summary
The Facilities Coordinator will provide hands-on assistance, manage, and oversee all operations in the fitness center, and provide hands-on assistance, manage, and oversee the Nunez event request portal to ensure all events are properly staffed and organized. Additionally, the Facilities Coordinator will assist the Director of Facilities Management, as needed, with data input, purchase requisitions, FEMA, ORM/Sedgwick, safety reports and any other administration of the facilities department.

Education and Experience Required

  • High school or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years managing fitness centers.
  • A minimum of 2 years managing event setups at a higher education facility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effective public speaking skills.
  • A thorough understanding and commitment to the mission and values of Nunez Community College.Competence in oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Preferred

  • Earned Bachelor’s degree

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on assistance, manage, and oversee all operations in the Nunez fitness center to ensure accessibility and safety, for all Nunez students and employees including maintaining equipment, ensuring cleanliness, managing student workers, and maintaining a schedule of operation.
  • Provide hands-on assistance, manage, and oversee the Nunez Event Request portal to ensure that all events are properly organized with furniture and equipment requests.
  • Manage comprehensive calendar of college events, communicate with event hosts to ensure accuracy, communicate comprehensive calendar of events with Executive Leadership Team and Divisional Leadership.
  • Assist Director of Facilities Management with data input, purchase requisitions, FEMA, ORM/Sedgwick, safety reports, and any other administration of the facilities department.
  • Other duties assigned by Director of Facilities Management.

Physical Demands (When Applicable)

  • Ability to work in excess of 40 hours a week, which may include nights and weekends.
  • Ability to view a computer screen for long periods of time.
  • Ability to function in a high-pressure, stressful environment and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to carry <25 lbs., stand, sit, reach, bend, climb.
